Dripos - Year in Review

2024 was an incredible year for us, growing beyond our wildest dreams. We've more than doubled our headcount of Drip Drops (our employees) and are incredibly humbled by the number of new customers who joined us. We want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support.

From the team here at Dripos, I'd like to extend our happiest of New Years to all our current and future customers.

2024 was an incredible year for us, growing beyond our wildest dreams. We've more than doubled our headcount of Drip Drops (our employees) and are incredibly humbled by the number of new customers who joined us. We want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support.

We're incredibly honored that we're able to create the best operating system for coffee that the world has ever seen, and we'll continue working on it until it's perfect. Our mission is to create a system that can run your entire business in the background and allow our partners to focus on actually running their business instead of fighting with their software.

On top of this, we aim to have genuine relationships with our customers and work closely with them to build features that will make their lives easier. We're always around for 24/7 support through phone, text, and email, and we'll continue to put our customers before anyone else.

Dripos Rewind

2024 was the most exciting year of the Dripos' 5-year journey. The year was started by raising $11M, allowing us to grow faster. We moved into a new two-floor office in the heart of Manhattan and doubled the amount of people working here. The number of partners we work with has grown beyond our wildest dreams, and we're fortunate to carry this momentum into the new year.

But more importantly, we also built a lot of awesome and highly requested features!

Supply Chain

We released the first version of our Supply Chain product in November of this year. It was one of the biggest features we launched to date, taking almost a year of development to complete.

If you're unfamiliar with Supply Chain, it allows customers to track in great detail all their ingredients, inventory, purchase orders, and more right inside Dripos. You can use this data to track things like waste, cost of good changes, and more!

We're incredibly proud of the feature Supply Chain turned into, and it's just getting started. In the new year, we'll continue to put more resources into this feature to make it even more special.

Dripos Go & Point of Sale on Reader

My favorite feature of the year was the release of our point-of-sale card reader product. This allowed any customer to use their card reader on the go as a portable point of sale. This was incredibly helpful for shops with big lines needing boots on the ground and taking orders in front of the counter instead of behind.

Similarly to the Point of Sale on Reader, we also released a new mobile app, Dripos Go, that allows shops to take payments directly on their phone, with no reader necessary. Shops can now go to farmers markets or trade shows and take payments in places where they had no setup and no wifi.

Both of these features, just like Supply Chain, will continue to have more resources put into them in the new year. We want both the Dripos Go app and Point of Sale on the reader to be carbon copies of the actual point of sale on the tablet, and we will be aiming to get this done by the end of 2025.

It’s also important to acknowledge that this year was not without its growing pains. Challenges are inevitable in a fast-growing company like ours, but what sets us apart is how we respond to them. We pride ourselves on learning from our mistakes, owning them, and turning them into opportunities for growth. I assure you that when issues arise, we’ll face them head-on—and we won’t be making the same mistake twice.


Looking to the Future

Our top priority in the New Year, which has been and will continue to be our top priority for the years to come, is stability and reliability. Our aim is for you to forget about Dripos and focus on continuing to build your business with us working silently in the background. Any outages or bugs are unacceptable in our eyes, and we'll work tirelessly to ensure this future.

Besides continuing to work on stability, we have many new and exciting features to launch in the first half of the New Year.

Our menu system has been identical since our first customer launched in the fall of 2019. It's been obvious that we need to put love into it for a while, and we've been working on a massive update to it behind the scenes for the past few months.

The main changes come from making it easier to create a menu (or multiple now) and its subsequent parts and having more control over how you set up and display each part of that menu. Along with this, for multi-unit shops, we're also switching from having a specific menu for each location to a global menu that you can toggle between each location.

These are high-impact changes, so the rollout will be slow and eventually become readily available.

Point of Sale Redesign

We've had the current design of the point of sale for the last 3 years. While we love how it looks, we believe there are many areas for improvement. Our goal is to eliminate any learning curve from the product and remove any excess clicks to speed up the time needed to complete an order.

This is a massive change and will be done in waves. It's important to note we won't be making any of these changes without prior warning and will be making it an opt-in feature for the first few months of its life.

Accounting

Our accounting product has been in private beta for a while now. It's one of the unique features that Dripos can allow, being a proper all-in-one solution. Our goal for the new year is to open this future to the public.

Bringing accounting to Dripos is one of the final pieces of our fully all-in-one solution. Since we already have access to your sales, labor, and COGS data, we’re in a unique position to handle your books with unmatched efficiency. Not only will this streamline your operations, but it will also give you deeper, more actionable insights into your business—helping you identify opportunities for growth and areas to improve. With accounting seamlessly integrated, Dripos truly becomes the central hub for managing every aspect of your business.


I want to take a moment to thank everyone again for joining us on this incredible journey of building Dripos over the past five years. It’s been an exciting ride filled with challenges, growth, and countless milestones. We’re having so much fun creating this product, and we’re even more energized about what’s ahead. The work doesn’t stop here—if anything, we’re just getting started.

I also want to take a moment to recognize our incredible team. I’m so proud of the talent, dedication, and passion that each and every one of our employees brings to Dripos. Their hard work is what drives this company forward and turns big ideas into reality. Watching this team grow and tackle challenges head-on has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey, and I couldn’t be more excited about what we’ll accomplish together in the years ahead.

We also know that none of this would be possible without our customers. Your trust, feedback, and support are the foundation of everything we do. We feel incredibly lucky to work with such passionate business owners who inspire us to keep pushing the boundaries of what Dripos can be. From day one, our mission has been to build something that makes your lives easier, and we can’t wait to keep delivering on that promise for years to come.
